Backwoods House
JOHANNA

Encircled by bushland and oriented to capture a series of evolving vistas, the house acts as a multi-viewport core. Each space is carefully positioned to allow the occupant to engage with and appreciate the diverse facets of the property’s natural beauty.

The dwelling breathes with its landscape—an architecture of restraint, quietly inhabiting its bushland setting while celebrating the rhythms of nature.

The roofline is composed to allow moments under the Moonah trees, letting users sit, view, and linger.

Conceived as a dialogue between architecture and landscape, nestled within rolling hills and pristine bushland. The design blurs the boundary between natural and man-made, allowing the home to sit gently within its environment while framing its remarkable surroundings.”
