Farmhouse 3.0 is an extremely versatile building.
Ideally suited to a site with a little more space than the standard block, the building thrives with a northern outlook. Utilizing solar gain to warm the house in winter, and incorporating large calculated eaves to block the summer sun. Highlighted louvered windows allow for excellent cross and stack ventilation, whilst welcoming an abundance of natural light.
A clever design, based upon a rhythmic structural grid, allows for the buildings steel structure to be erected, followed by a ‘fill in the gaps’ approach. Structural sections can be added with ease to expand the building should more space be required.
Though simple in appearance, this design is packed full of clever yet beautiful features backed by years of research and refinement.
